What To Wear: Graduation Edition
finally the crazy of graduation is over & i can relax ! thank you all for being patient with me during my blogger break, I'M BACK !!!! (if you want to skip the mushy stuff, the outfit details are in the middle ;)
well, i did it. but really it's more like we did it, than just me. i wouldn't have made it without the help of my family & friends. since i wasn't valedictorian i never got the chance to publicly thank everyone who helped me on this journey over the last 13 years of my life.
so, here it is, for all the internet to see.
to my parents, you've given me all the necessary tools to be a faithful woman of God. you are incredible & i'm honored to be your daughter. thank you for loving & supporting me from the second i took my first breath.
to my sister, thank you for making me better simply by living your life. i strive to be more like you. thank you for being the joyful spirit in our house.
to my best friends, Ethan & Kippy. Ethan, thank you for always being willing to talk about anything at any hour of the day. thank you for seeing the good in me when all i saw was bad & for knowing when i wasn't really okay even though i said that i was. thank you for pushing me to be the best version of myself & always making me laugh. Kippy, thank you for being my partner in crime for the last 3 years. thank you for sticking by my side through every high & every low. thank you for believing in me when i couldn't believe in myself & teaching me so many things about people, life, & our Creator. i wouldn't be who i am without you.
to my youth pastors, Greg & Michelle. thank you for always loving, believing, & fighting for me. NPS has been the place where i can be real & vulnerable about what's going on in my life. you've created an atmosphere for me to learn more about Christ & deepen my relationship with Him. thank you for always opening your home to me & speaking life into me.
those are only a few of the people that have impacted my life & without them, their guidance, their wisdom, & their pursuit of me as a follower of Christ, i would not be where i am today. they've helped me chip away the sinful parts of me & encourage me to be the woman i'm supposed to be. thank you from the deepest part of my heart.
The Outfit
i love this dress ! i couldn't find the exact one online so i just linked something similar in the same colors by the same designer. i think graduation dresses should be simple & classic. something that really represents who you are because there are so many pictures taken on that day & you'll have them forever. that's also why you shouldn't get anything that's super trendy & go more classic because like i said, you'll have these pictures forever & you don't want to look back & shake your head at your hideous outfit !! i picked this because it matched my party theme (pink of course) & because it was simple yet sophisticated.
dress//Cynthia Rowley similar shoes//Jessica Simpson
bracelet//Rustic Cuff earrings//Kendra Scott watch//Kate Spade
The Party
my incredible friends & i had the honor of singing & playing at my graduation. this was such a special moment for me to be able to worship my King & give it all back to Him on such an important day of my life. it made it all the more special to have some of my closest friends next to me. thankful to do life with them.
