Power
it's been a little while since i have shared an in depth post so today i want to dig in a little bit w y'all. recently, i have been struggling w a lot of things. my life is so chaotic w all of the activities & things that i am a part of. i feel like i never get a moment to just be lazy or to just do what i want to do for as long as i want to do it. i am on a 21 day fast & today is day 16, i am really pushing for a closeness w Christ. within the last 6-8 months i feel like i have lost purpose for my life. i just allowed myself to do the same things that i have always done & been succesful. but, i feel like i lost a closeness that i used to have w Christ. i love being close to Him, i feel more secure & stable when i am close enough to just reach out & touch Him. i don't like drifting from God, but i do it to myself & i always feel less safe & more vulnerable when i'm farther from Him. the closer we are to Him the more power we have in His name. we are not afraid to speak life & prophetic words when we are close to Him bc we know for sure that it is from Him. when we are far from Him we are more quick to think that it isn't from God & we aren't confident to speak or do what He has asked of us. in order to make a difference in our world & to be active & affective witnesses for His kingdom we must have power when we speak. if i have all of the right things to say, but i'm too shy or not bold enough to say it what good does it do for furthing the kingdom?? w power comes great responsibility & you must know where you stand & know WHO is the REAL authority. you have to be responsible w what God has given you & not abuse that power for your own personal gain. the Lord will never give you more than you can handle, so be responsible w what He has blessed you w & He will continue to bless you & add unto you. stop saying "if" & start saying "when." WHEN will i see His promises fulfilled, not IF i see His promises fulfilled. start speaking things like they will happen, not a question of if they will. when you start speaking prophetic things in your life you will see them come to pass. thank Him in ADVANCE for the things He is going to do. if you need healing in your body, pray & thank Him for when He does heal you. don't beg Him to heal you bc He's already going to. if you need need strength, pray & say thank you Lord for giving me strength today bc i am weak on my own. in Acts 19 it says "some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. they would say, “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.” seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. one day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, & Paul I know about, but who are you?” then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. he gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding." they didn't have the power in them to do it. it says "they would say" it doesn't say that they commanded or the spirit of the Lord was w them & they said or they proclaimed. there is such a difference between commanding or demanding something as opposed to just saying something. Mark 3:14-15 says "He (Jesus) appointed twelve that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach & to have authority to drive out demons." Jesus GAVE them the AUTHORITY to drive out demons ! it was placed on them the authority to do the Lord's handiwork. THAT'S POWER !!! i want the Lord to say i give this to you, i trust you w this, you have MY authority at your literal fingertips. that's so cool to me ! i want to walk w purpose, i want to have authority & boldness, i want people to want to hear what i have to say.
today, i want you to ask the Lord for boldness & command. live your life boldly for Christ & He will bless you. speak it into existance. just love on Him today & thank Him for what He is going to do in your life. just in case you need a reminder, the Lord loves you & He cares for you so deeply. you are so loved & i pray that you are encouraged by what i shared with you today.
